I am both an Engineer and an Artist—two distinct disciplines that help define who I am. I completed my first painting during my second year of engineering school in 2001. The overwhelming response I received, motivated me to continue painting. Over time, my passion grew, leading me to co-find a student-run gallery with others who shared the same artistic drive. Despite my ultimate goal of earning my degree and starting a professional career, I never let go of painting. Instead, I kept honing my craft and exploring new artistic directions. A few years ago, I became particularly drawn to a monochromatic theme, where I use a single vibrant color against a gray background. This approach allows me to create depth and contrast without relying on multiple colors. I constantly seek striking hues that will stand out against the muted backdrop, making them the focal point of my work.
Painting is a passion that emerges when my mind is at peace. I can spend hours immersed in it, listening to music and reflecting on the questions and comments people have about my art. Every detail matters. If a painting doesn’t feel just right, I continue refining it—or even start over—until I am convinced that nothing more can be added or taken away.
